Hello All! I am Samantha, you can call me Sam for short!
We are Located outside of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on a Cattle Ranch. We have a small poultry breeding operation, where we strive for the standard of perfection and working towards production, whether that is meat, eggs or both. The different breeds we are working on improving and preserving are:

At the ranch we hatch hundreds of chicks, so that each breed we have a good selection to grow-out and allow to mature to find the Standouts that will Further the Breed towards the Standard of Perfection. We strive to be your most Honest Breeder, through our transparency about our breeding flock and operation. We have a special way of selling our culls, from breeder selection process to the
public, and always have photos and/ or videos available of our breeders on the fb page. We follow a waiting list for these birds so anyone has a chance to get them. Make sure you join the waiting list if there is a particular breed you are interested in with us. If you have a question please feel free to ask.

What is going on @ Cross B Hens N Heifers?
November 2024
We are Chuggin' Along here at Cross B. We have been in a Drought with grass senescing and ponds drying up, so we have already been haying and hauling water to certain pastures. Our oldest pullets in the Erminettes, Penedesenca, and Mixes are starting to lay, from April and May Hatches! We have started separating pullets by breed and placing corresponding zipties on their legs according to their wing band # and our zip tie color chart. We are doing this to start easily identifying who we like and who will be available to the waiting list. Waiting List Pullets and Cockerels will probably not be available until late December or January.
September 2024
As the year goes, you find that particular breeds, are just not your thing, as well as finding some that are.This year was no exception! We are going to be scaling back on breeds that are not us, dedicating that space to breeds we have that are us, and possibly adding 1 other breed.
August 2024
First pullets that will be coming available to the waiting list, are Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbars, Oliver Eggers, and Bresse. Make SURE you follow us on fb or have filled out the New Waiting List if you want some of these birds!!!

ABOUT OUR NAME.
BEHIND CROSS B HENS N HEIFERS
Cross B Hens N Heifers is Samantha Harper’s (myself) branch of the Cross B Ranch located in Broken Arrow, OK.  The Cross B name comes from a brand that my Papa Ralph Harper had and used for his Dairy Cattle operation. I gave this brand to my partner Scott Belden to start his official business, Cross B Cattle and Hay LLC. The Cattle and Hay branch is the sole bread making of the ranch, so it is what does come first. We raise about ~250 head of commercial beef cattle and bale between 6,000 and 10,000 round bales a year. So whenever I am not doing cattle or hay, I am usually working with the chickens! I also have my own small herd which is where the name "Hens N Heifers" comes from. One day I hope to have an awesome Chicken Barn, but I gotta get Scott on board first!
