Royal Palms
Making A Stark Contrast
Fun & Personable
Why Choose a Royal Palm?
Royal Palms are on the smaller size of the various Turkey breeds in the United States. Males weighing at 22 lbs mature and Females at 12 lbs mature. They make great foragers and are highly personable. This variety also is one of the best layers of the Turkey varieties. This variety is also bred for exhibition and was accepted into the APA in 1971.
All the Family & Friends that comes to the farm enjoy the Turkeys the most! Both the girls and the boys will talk to you. They are so personable & are a blast to have on the farm.

Great Book for Turkeys
If you are like YES, I Want A Turkey or two or three, but I do not know nothing about them and their needs. Well they are not to much more complicated than chickens BUT, there are many great books out there for those who want turkeys. If you have turkeys but don't have this book, it should be in your library. By the way, I have no incentive to promote this book nor any product, I just like to share when I find Great things.
The book is Don Schrider's Storey's Guide to Raising Turkeys. Don Schrider is a Poultry Master Breeder, he knows his stuff and has helped the Livestock Conservancy and many other organizations. Here is a picture of the book below, and look! They have Royal Palms on it!

Breeding Plan
Well, after sales this year and Mother Nature we have our Hen from 2024 and 4 of her daughters and 4 sons. As of November of 2024, it is looking like 2 of the 4 sons, have very clean and crisp markings. While the other 2 are a little mossy in their coloration. If y'all, have watched me for some time, I really like to keep my breeding tight. Since, I do not know how closely related the original two were, I will be taking the best 2 of the flock into the Founder's Program and start an Adam & Eve in a single mating program for 2025. My next best Tom will be utilized over the other hens for sales to the public in 2025.
Hatching Eggs
2025 Hatching Eggs will be $10/ Egg
The amount of eggs available per order will be narrowed in on once we get into laying season for 2025. It looks like we will have at least 4 Jens so should be able to supply a good quantity to the public. Turkeys are more seasonal layers, so there will be a limited time window for turkey eggs.
Poults & Growouts
Poults will be straight run Until obvious differences can be correctly determined. Yes, sometimes a very young Jake will make itself known by strutting. So if you are looking for a Jake you maybe in luck early on.
