So you have decided you need something shipped? What does that look like?
First, I want to say Thank You for considering adding some of our Beautiful Chickens to your flock!
Well we are a Small Operation so big numbers of eggs or chicks at one time will not be available for most of our breeds. And when shipping live chicks we are very concerned that you receive Happy and Healthy Live Chicks, so working within the confines of Mother Nature and having the correct often expensive supplies for doing so is very critical.
Local Pickup will ALWAYS be Preferred way of purchasing live birds.

Cross B Hens N Heifers will have a Quota of Chicks that will have to be met or able to achieve during hatching time here at the farm. Also, by hatching random eggs or batches each month we will be able to ensure and monitor hatching rates from our breeders.
Communication between seller and buyer will be critical when purchasing live birds and or hatching eggs. So Make Sure you stay in touch, either by emailing me or reaching out on FB. Links Below

All Hatching Eggs Ship out on Mondays & Tuesdays.
We have 2 ways to ship hatching eggs:
Foam Egg Holders
Bubble Wrap ​
Option will be given to the customer, but I prefer the foam! Either way both will be packaged in a box very carefully with padding for as minimal movement as possible. ​Also, Eggs Are DOUBLE BOXED to help with safety and stabilization. with bubble wrap between the boxes.
> Fragile, Hatching Egg Stickers will be placed on the Boxes for Postal Workers to see.
> Option will be given to customer to hold to pickup at their Local Post Office. I highly RECOMMEND this but sometimes your Local Post Office does not do this, So make sure you call them if you request this.

IF costs of materials needed to ship eggs increases then it will be reflected in your cost of shipping.

These Chick Orders need to be a 10 Chick Minimum in Warmer Months and 15 Chick Minimum in Colder Months

To Check Estimated Shipping from USPS to your Zipcode, you can go on to their App and type in 74014 in the From Section and type in Your Zip in the To Section and lets say 3lb is the Average weight and it is a package. It calculates pricing, and the Express Mail is how chicks are shipped through USPS. That will give you a rough idea + the Supplies cost.

All Live Chick Shipments will be Coordinated in Advance of Hatch Date, Will be Paid in Full Before Shipment through PayPal. Sending me your email before shipment allows me to send you an invoice that you can pay before Also, if communication is not working between Cross B and Purchaser or Payment is not in full, Cross B can hold on to chicks and sell them to another customer.

Live Chick Shipments will be Held at the Post Office for Pickup, so make sure your local post office knows you have chicks coming in! All Chicks get Shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Make sure you understand which breeds will have smaller quantities of chicks being shipped as they will need to wait for warmer weather for safety. (Just not through winter months or cold snaps.)

Chick Shipping Boxes will have the following:
Nesting Pad
Grogel
Fragile Handling Stickers
& Small Shipments of Chicks may have a Heating pad in it for warmth.
Shipping Cost will be adjusted if the cost of supplies of the above materials increases.
