At Cross B Hens N Heifers we have 2 Varieties of the Barnevelder, neither of which are recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA). We have the Black Double Laced Silver and also the Blue Double
Laced Silver.

DOUBLE SILVER LACED
2023 Breeding Season
We kept all the Blue Barnevelders from 2022. We will be breeding Blue to Blue, Blue to Black and possibly Black to Black.
When Breeding Blue to Black color determination was not possible until the chicks were 8 weeks or older! Breeding Blue to Blue might make this a quicker determination in 2023.

All Blue Cockerels from 2022 have some amount of Red Leakage. So this will be a flaw that will be worked on.

For Cockerels, you must contact me and the prices will be equivalent to the above listed pullet prices by age.
HATCHING EGGS?
Pricing
Hatching Eggs will be $5 per egg with a 5 egg min & possibly a 10 egg max. 1 Extra egg will come with every purchase of 5 eggs. This quantity should be available within a week. All egg purchases will have to paid in full before Monday of the week we ship.

Get on the Waiting List if you are serious about getting hatching eggs. 2023's Breeding Pens will be 3 Blue Pullets over Blue Cockerel. And Black Hen, Black #6 Pullet over either Black Cockerel. The Blue over Blue will not be available till May 2023.

​Eventually darker egg color genetics will be selected for as well. Pictures will be posted of egg color soon. Most are a darker tan color, and #6 Pullet has reddish speckles as well. Our number #10 Pullet has the best color egg of our Barnevelders along with many other great traits, She is probably the Foundation of our Barnevelder Line for the future. I cannot wait to watch her chicks develop!
